I am very happy and appreciate the enthusiasm shown by all the members who have joined and eagerly waiting for the links. I wanted to give the content of the DVDs but as many are impatient I dun wanna delay any further. I again emphasize that most of the content are reasonably good some of them are not. Please do not accuse me of the quality or the download speed. From the next DVD I post the details of every folder with the Quality information. The First, Third, and fourth DVDs are 4+GB and the second one is around 900 MB. Please kindly post your comments and suggestions or if any problem please feel free to mail me.

This collection is compiled for personal purposes without any commercial intentions attached to it and for back up purposes. So please download and use it for non-commercial purposes.

Finally for the very serious people and Geeks I uploaded the contents on as is where is basis. I have not done any cleaning work such as noice reduction,removing hiss and glitch to improve the quality of the music. Many folders contains volumes of songs. I have neither separated nor tagged it. I feel its not necessary for a serious fan. If you want to do some audio processing, very good freeware programs are available on the net.Audacity is one such good freeware for simple audio processing. Google for the same and download the software and use it to improve the quality of the desired song or folder. This requires some basic audio processing knowledge and great patience.

Shri Vishnu Ram Prasad

I dedicate this post to Shri Vishnuram Prasad of Chennai.

All my uploaded collections of MMI are the hard work of Shri Vishnuram Prasad of Chennai. He collected the treasure from various sources travelling all over India. The collections were in various recording media from Gramaphone, vinyl, tape etc.

He did the hard work of converting those to mp3 which indeed was a laborious task. He named every folder with the name of the sabha in which the concert was performed singer, the violinist, and the percusionist and the year in which the concert was performed. Its like this

Then he burn it into DVDs(four numbers). Truly fantastic work.

I got his phone number from the web and contacted him and asked if he could give me his collection. He immediately told his address and asked me to come to his house to collect it. I with my brother went to his home in West Mambalam. He greeted us with warm welcome and we had a nice chat about the legend. He told his experience of collecting the treasure and people whom helped him to carry out such monumental effort. All this happened in the Year 2006 I believe.

After this I never contacted Vishnuji through phone for some time. And badly I lost his mobile number as I lost my SIM card . I wanted to mail him thru his site only after(which I give soon)doing something to his collection. I feel ashamed and apologise for not making any effort to contact Vishnuji through his mail given in the tripod website. Vishnuji kindly pardon me. Though I have not contacted you you are always in my heart.

As I promised Shri Vishnuji maintains a site dedicated to MMI. If you want any info abot MMI its the right place to look into.

This Blog is dedicated to All time greatest, Greatest Ever carnatic classical vocalist Ganakaladhara, Sangeetha Kalanidhi late Shri. Madurai Mani Iyer. There are so many web sites which provide plenty of information about the maestro, and dedicated to the legend, I created this blog for may own satisfaction and to share some of his music I uploaded to my skydrive account.

I have been waiting for a file host for a very long time which allows the user to download immediately without any waiting time, not restricting users by their IP address, and imposing limitations on how much they download.

Skydrive comes to fulfil my ambitions though the download is slower the user may download any number of files without waiting and without any restrictions. Now something about the content in a new post.
